Connection

Being a community of believers means more than joining in worship on Sunday mornings. We love and serve one another and our community, fellowship together, support one another through life's challenges. Find out the many opportunities in place to be an active part of this community of faith.

There are so many ways you can get involved!

Read about our volunteer opportunities here. You can also check out resources to help you in your daily life, from podcasts, to music stations, to community support. We hope you find what you're looking for in the Lamb of God community, and beyond.

Lamb of God Lutheran Church is looking for volunteers in helping to lead worship through our new projectors, screens, and television system. Skills that are needed – use of a laptop computer and its PowerPoint program, livestream services, plus the ability to follow intently through the worship service. This position will be for the Saturday 5:00 p.m. worship service, and the 8:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. worship services. If you would like to volunteer, contact the church office at (702) 645-4998.

Stephen Ministers are lay congregation members trained to provide one-to-one care to those experiencing a difficult time in life such as grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, or relocation. Please contact the church office to volunteer or if you are in need of a Stephen Minister.

Our food pantry helps to feed dozens of families each month. We gratefully accept donations of cereal, peanut butter, jelly, canned vegetables, canned fruits, juices, canned pasta sauce, macaroni n' cheese, boxed potatoes, rice, canned meats (beef, chicken, tuna, ham). All food items need to be average in size (not bulk), in original packaging and not expired. We also accept donations of $25 gift cards to a local grocery store.

Your generosity is greatly appreciated! Please bring items to the church office.

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.” Ephesians 6:18

Jesus Says: Jesus tells us that we should pray without ceasing. At Lamb of God Lutheran Church we set aside a special time every week to offer prayer to God. This is every Friday at 2:00 p.m. In addition, weekly at the end of every 10:45 service there will be a prayer partner by the Prayer banner in the Sanctuary if you wish to pray then. Prayer requests and thanksgiving may be listed on a prayer card, from the red fellowship books, and placed in the offering plate for service, or placed in the Prayer Box at the Welcome Center in the Narthex, and will be extended to a Pastor and the prayer team.

What We Pray For: The prayers offered are as varied and many as the people and the church's ministries. Always the prayers are for God's will to be done and His Kingdom to come among us.

What Happens: We have many examples of God's answer to a prayer for those people we pray for and the way that God's Spirit has renewed our church.

How to ask: Simply send an email to the church. State your name and your need.  You will be put on the next prayer list. This is what we, at Lamb of God Lutheran Church do for each other.

Prayer Chain: Lamb of God has a group of faithful prayer warriors who pray for prayer requests.

You can submit a request by calling the church office at (702) 645-4998 or by emailing the office. Would you like to join our prayer warriors? Just let the church office know and we will gladly add you to the group!

This is such a vital ministry, and we would always love to have more volunteers for the Cradle Roll. If you are interested in helping in any way, please contact Cindy Abu-Samrah, 702-658-4160 for further information. To find out more about the Cradle Roll ministry, please click here.

books

The Lamb of God Bookworms is an excellent way to enjoy fellowship while offering your comments and opinion on the book we have selected for the month. Usually there are thought provoking questions at the end of the books we select which we analyze and discuss. You can express your thoughts and learn those of others at the same time. Often someone has a different slant on the content which you hadn't thought of.

We welcome you to come and join the Bookworms when we meet on the second Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m.in Pastor's Office.  All readers are welcome to join us.

Please check out our Lamb's Voice Newsletter on the homepage for the review of our latest book. Our upcoming readings will be:
The Sanatorium by Sarah Pearse
The House of Wolves by James Patterson & Mike Lupica
The Storm We Made by Vanessa Chan
Harvest by Tess Gerritson
