Derek Blessing

Welcome

Grace, mercy, and peace to you, from our Lord Jesus Christ!

Thank you for exploring Lamb of God Lutheran School. Our mission is, “Through Christ We Learn, Live, and Love.” This is the core of all that we do and who we are. We want all our students and families to know the love Christ has for THEM! His love is so deep that He chose to be the sacrifice for us so we can be with Him in His eternal kingdom. Our faith is built into all aspects of what we do, and we love sharing Jesus with everyone!

Every child has a story, and we love learning each one. This foundation of relationships is where education starts. Through these relationships we can better teach the students about creation and the world around them.

Our students are held to high academic standards with rigorous, age and ability appropriate curriculum that helps them grow in a fun and intellectually challenging environment. With family partnership in a child’s education, we can provide the most well-rounded and in-depth education, that continues outside the school doors.

In addition, Lamb of God Lutheran Church is a supportive partner of our school. Church members volunteer on our campus and in the classrooms, creating a school and church community that truly feels like family. It is our prayer that you feel welcomed and a part of this family too!

In Christ,
Derek Blessing, Principal

A collaborative reader.

LIVE
to be more like Jesus.

We believe that God has given each child unique gifts that glorify Him and serve to expand His Kingdom, and we believe that God works with and through Lamb of God and the parents to enable each child to identify those gifts and to find ways to use them to bring glory to Him.

We believe that Lamb of God is to facilitate spiritual as well as cognitive, social, physical, and emotional growth in children.

We believe that Lamb of God should reinforce values taught in the home and that the home should reinforce values taught at Lamb of God.

We believe that positive relationships between the student and the teacher, and the teacher and the parent enhance learning.

We believe that learning does not begin or end at school. It is a life-long process.

We believe that learning creates desire for further learning.

We believe that children learn in different ways and grow at different rates.

We believe that each student should be given the opportunity to learn within the classroom environment.

We believe that learning is and can be enjoyable.

We believe that students learn more and remember longer when what is learned in school can be applied to what happens outside of the classroom experience.

We believe that the knowledge in subject areas is connected and that learning is enhanced when students see and understand those connections.

We believe that reading is the foundation to academic learning and that understanding the phonetic structure of the language increases the likelihood of reading well.

We believe that standardized testing is important but does not measure all a child knows.

We believe that recognizing excellence in education enhances learning.

We believe that students should be comfortable when presenting to peers.

We believe that students learn more when they feel physically and emotionally safe.

We believe that learning in and with a group enhances the learning experience.
